A faction is something that the player can join and be a part of. Lore wise, they can have varying compositions. Nations that fear open involvement would create a faction of black ops units, and act as a support. Nations that don’t fear open involvement may itself be a faction. Close allies may even form a multi-nation faction. Companies and conglomerates may also form factions.
